Kevin built a household brand with no investment generating an estimated £3.2b of work for their trades and employed 320 staff. Kevin won ‘Entrepreneur of the Year' at the 2011 Sussex Business Awards and then in 2012 ‘Businessperson of the year'. 2013 saw his company win Sussex Company of the year and in 2014 and 2015 achieved the Sunday Times Top 100 small businesses to work for. For his pioneering efforts in combating rogue trades and introducing online feedback he was awarded The Queen's Award for Enterprise in Innovation 2014.
in 2017 he was awarded the IoD Director of the Year London and Southeast and in 2018 was awarded the British Citizens Award for Business.

Checkatrade.com became a monumental success. In Kevin's final year at the helm, he achieved 1.8m visits a month, used by 25% of households and generated over 9,500 new employment in the building sector.
